Due to the limited availability of COVID-19 testing supplies, both in Alabama and nationwide, the UA Student Health Center will not be able to provide proof of negative COVID-19 test at this time. Students who need COVID testing for international travel should still reach out to the SHC for assistance.
Also, there may be times when only COVID-19/flu combination tests, which are slightly more expensive than COVID-19 tests, are available at the SHC. The combination tests will be used, and students will be informed and charged accordingly.
The Student Health Center and Pharmacy (SHCP) remains open to serve UA students during this time. We are committed to serving you on site or virtually. Please visit healthinfo.ua.edu for up to date information on current operations.
The Student Health Center offers the Pfizer vaccine to all UA students (over age 16) who are able to receive both doses on campus. Students can now schedule an appointment online through the SHC patient portal. Appointments will be available during regular SHC operating hours. Students 18 and under must have a valid consent signed by a parent/legal guardian before the COVID vaccine can be given.
Students are strongly encouraged to be vaccinated wherever it’s available, whether on campus or through a variety of other sources. VaccineFinder.org provides distribution locations anywhere in the country. Please report vaccinations received at an external location.
Flu shots for students are available during business hours 4 – 4:45 p.m.
Please visit our Hours of Operation for any updates to our regular schedule.
