Online – Patient Portal

Each enrolled student now has access to their Patient Portal. Patients can now book most appointments online by using the patient portal. Simply log in using your MyBama Account (student tab) or use the button at the top left of this site. Please limit 1 (one) scheduled appointment per day. Although the Portal does not limit the number of appointment times you can book per day, any appointment scheduled, but not attended will result in a no-show fee charged to the student’s account.

The majority of our provider time is scheduled for walk-in patients with medical problems such as illness or injury. The following visits are by appointment only:

  • Nutrition counseling
  • Psychiatric service
  • Allergy shots
  • Women’s health (well and sick)

Appointments for these must be made via phone.

If you believe that you need to be seen today, and there are no available appointments, please call the Student Health Center appointment desk at 205-348-2778; or you may come to the SHC during our open hours to be seen as a walk-in patient.

No Show/Missed Appointments:

To provide you the best possible care and increase access for all our patients, please cancel your appointment at least two hours in advance, so that others may have the opportunity to be seen.
Appointments may be cancelled on the patient portal, via phone, or in person.

A “No Show” fee will be charged to your student account if you do not cancel within two hours of your appointment, if you are more than 10 minutes late for the scheduled appointment, or do not show at all. You have 30 days from the date of your appointment to submit an no show appeal. This applies to all appointments made at the Student Health Center and Pharmacy.
